Project Description

Summary:  View help for Summary This is a state-level dataset with variables that capture the following scope of practice information for nurse practitioners and physician assistants: a) practice authority, b) prescriptive authority, and c) full practice authority, including ability to prescribe controlled substances without physician oversight. 
Development of this data set was funded by the National Institutes on Aging of the NIH to accompany survey data from the National Dementia Workforce Study.
