Methodology

Response Rate:  View help for Response Rate Number of potential respondents were open ended due to the large span of time the survey studied. However, outreach was most highly concentrated among landowners who experienced wildfire in their forest lands during the 2020 Labor Day fires in Oregon. These fires affected 5600 private, non-industrial woodland owners. This would be a 3.98% response rate.
Sampling:  View help for Sampling Outreach for survey response was made to forested landowners within the fire footprints. Respondents who did not meet the qualifications of being a forest landowner having experienced wildfire in the previous 10 years with at least 2 acres and over 18 were not permitted to take the survey.
