Project Description

Summary:

Applying Machine Learning, we are looking for a number of elusive lincks between appearance and behavior. The dataset obtained after the moderation of images and validation of questionnaires. The test dataset consisted of twenty personality traits of 220 male and 160 female sketches self-reported and predicted by ML algorithms from face sketches.

Universe: Anonymous volunteers were recruited to completed sixteen personality factor questionnaires and provided face photos, and then asked professional sketchers to draw corresponding face sketches.

Collection Notes: Validation dataset containing randomly selected 10% (380) of paticipant.

Methodology

Sampling:

The initial sample consisted of 250 participants who completed questionnaires and drew a total of 5000 face sketch images. The final dataset after the data screening procedure consisted of 189 valid questionnaires and 3780 relevant photographs. This is a validation dataset containing 10% (380) of randomly selected participants. Participants ranged in age from 18 to 24 years. (49.2% were females and 50.8% were males).

Data Source: Participants are anonymous volunteers. They were not paid any financial means, but they were given a free report on their twenty personality traits. After completing the questionnaire and reporting their age and gender, participants took a photo of their face with a set camera, and then asked a professional sketcher to draw a corresponding face sketch image based on the photo.
