Project Description

Summary:  View help for Summary This survey is based on the statistics of environmental data from all parts of China after the implementation of the regional environmental protection supervision system in 2008. According to the superimposed output of China's environmental statistical yearbook, China's regulatory yearbook and GIS geographic data, the reader can calculate the annual growth of the output value of water pollution enterprises in each county of China and the annual growth of the output value of pollution enterprises in each county. The scope of data collection also includes political incentives, environmental decentralization, public appeals, anti-corruption environment and other fields. One of the main research purposes of this project is to determine whether China's central environmental regulatory policy will induce local governments to take "free riding" behavior.
