The geodesic files contain the settlement patterns derived from the United States Army Map Service.
The remaining files were collected from public sources such as the Haitian Census of 1950, Victor Bulmer-Thomas's data for Economic History of the Caribbean, Noel Deerr's History of Sugar, and GIS data.
