The Directory of Organizations Serving Domestic Violence Victims includes the names, contact information and service information of more than 3,000 organizations in the US states and territories providing services to domestic violence victims and survivors.

The information in the directory was gathered by researchers from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY and George Mason University. They conducted thorough research to identify organizations that support domestic violence victims, using the Office for Victims of Crime’s Directory of Crime Victim Services, as well as the websites of the National Coalition of Domestic Violence and Survivors.org. The researchers also conducted targeted web-based searches to include Family Justice Centers in the US and organizations supporting South Asian domestic violence victims and domestic violence victims in US territories.
This list was compiled between November 2021 and November 2022. Please note that some of the information in this directory might not be current or complete during your review.This directory includes 3,003 organizations in 50 US states, DC and five US territories (American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands) which were established to primarily serve domestic violence victims and umbrella organizations which are likely to provide services to domestic violence victims. This directory excludes juvenile justice agencies, law enforcement agencies, attorney’s offices, health institutions, or campus organizations unless they have specialized staff serving domestic violence victims.
This directory was developed with the support of a collaborative grant from the National Science Foundation’s Build and Broaden 2.0 program (Award# 2127295/2127296) as part of the research project “Collaborative Research: The Impact of COVID-19 on Victimization Risk and Service Needs for Domestic Violence Victims and Survivors.
”The principal investigators of this study (Dr. Mangai Natarajan and Dr. Yasemin Irvin-Erickson) and the National Science Foundation do not endorse any organizations, programs or services listed in the directory.
