Project Description

Summary:  View help for Summary This research examines the influence of perceived social support on the social well-being of Iranian women, with ethical values serving as a mediating factor. To achieve this objective, structural equation modeling was employed to evaluate the hypothesized model. The sample consisted of 718 women who were selected through a convenience sampling method. Data collection was facilitated using the Social Well-being Scale, Ethical Values Assessment (EVA), and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). The findings revealed that the proposed model exhibited adequate fit indices, with 36 percent of the variance in social well-being explained by the model variables. The results demonstrated positive and statistically significant relationships among social support and social well-being, social support and ethical values, as well as ethical values and social well-being (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the indirect effect of social support on social well-being via ethical values, assessed through the bootstrap method, was found to be significant (p < 0.05). Our findings contribute evidence supporting the enhancement of social well-being through an emphasis on social support and ethical values among women.
