Project Description

Summary:  View help for Summary This is a replication file for the paper "How Not to Measure the Standard of Living: Male Wages, Non-Market Production and Household Income in Nineteenth-Century Europe" in the Economic History Review.  Data is based on household accounts published in Le Play, Frédéric, Les Ouvriers Européens, (1877) and both series of Les Ourviers des Deux Mondes by the Société Internationale des Etudes Pratiqués d'Economie Sociale (1857-1899).
