Project Description

Summary:  View help for Summary This project uses campus law enforcement agency data reported in the 2011-2012 Survey of Campus Law Enforcement Agencies. It is combined with 2010 Clery Crime data from to produce campus crime rates. Additionally, 2010 data from the National Center for Education Statistics is included to provide campus characteristics.

Methodology

Response Rate:  View help for Response Rate The 2011-2012 SCLEA had a 90% response rate.
Sampling:  View help for Sampling Law enforcement agencies serving U.S. colleges and universities that are 4-year institutions of 2,500 or more students were surveyed by the Bureau of Justice Statistics for the 2011-2012 Survey of Campus Law Enforcement Agencies (SCLEA). The original 2011-2012 SCLEA sample included 905 institutions.
