Project Description

Summary:  View help for Summary This repository includes data and code for our project "Changes in the Demographics of American Inventors, 1870-1940," The data contain information on individuals who received a US patent between 1870 and 1940 matched to the Population Census.

The Code folder includes all of the code we wrote to create the datasets and then run the analyses. The replication_readme.md should explain how the code works. We have chosen to only include in the Data folder our set of matched patentees and not all of the data used in the paper.

If you have questions, please contact Nicolas L. Ziebarth ([email protected])
