Project Description

Summary:  View help for Summary This data set was generated as part of a graduate seminar on content analysis taught in the Department of Communication at the University of Utah during spring 2019. We retrieved a complete census of Donald Trump’s tweets from the Trump Twitter Archive (http://www.trumptwitterarchive.com/) for the first two years of his time in office (January 20, 2017 to January 19, 2019). From this census, we drew a one-third systematic sample, stratified by month. This procedure resulted in a sample of 2,082 tweets, which were content analyzed according to the variables in the included codebook.
